Set, challenge, go!

What is it that makes us get up and go ? Do we need a group of people to motivate us, compete against us or organize us ? Or do we need a challenge more closer to home: a personal best, a worthy cause or a friend raising funds ?

Whatever it is, ask yourself what it is that gets you off the couch. We all tick a little differently, what is it that makes you get up and go? Find your inner motivation and then set a challenge to suit.

If you want you want to feel and look 30  again- put a picture of yourself on the fridge! Then or now, which choice will you make?

If you want to prove to your friends, that you can climb a mountain: Start small (One Tree Hill will do 🙂 and work your way up to Mt Kenya !

If you want to show you can run with the best of them: Join the Auckland Nike store free running squat and follow along until you can do it on your own!

If you want to support a grass roots sports event in NZ or raise some money for a worthy cause: Every step you take will be for them!

The beginning can be tough, but once you get to a stage where you just feel so good every time you finish a session, you will not want to be without it. And why turn back now? One step at a time you will look back and think:  ‘Wow- how did I get here? and you will find it is by making a start!

Create a poster wall with pictures of all your small and all your major achievements, visualize where you want to be and how you are going to get there. Images are incredibly powerful when it comes to ideas. Paint that picture in all the detail you can imagine, what does it feel like? What does it taste like? What will you see when you get there ? Who will be there to meet you ?

Choose a goal which befits your motivation, then choose a challenge and watch yourself go! You too can surprise yourself!
