And while we are on the subject of run/ walk : Runners have a hard time walking. After all it’s all about proving to yourself that you can run the distance, run the hill and run the miles. But sometimes choosing to walk a hill or walk an interval is simply a tool to get you to the finish line uninjured and perhaps a little fresher than expected. Don’t let the ego get in the way! If walking will save your hammies or your shins or your knees – don’t be a fool , stay cool 🙂
Have a regular massage (especially the day after your long run) and you will soon notice, that in order to improve your endurance, you do not need to run 100% all the time. For beginners especially it is all about staying on your feet and doing the time, rather than necessarily the distance. Massage helps your preparation.
Massage is a great way to bring your muscles back to normal function quicker, increase your recovery, return normal blood flow and decrease inflammation. Make sure to book ahead and don’t miss out on a recovery session the day after !
