It has been our busiest month yet for corporate massage in Auckland ! On site massages in offices and workplaces are increasing in popularity all the time. This month we have seen a particular focus on mental health in the workplace. We visited a number of new and existing corporate massage clients to shine a light on the issue. Thank you both @Roche NZ and @Randstad NZ for having us during Mental Health Awareness Week, we hope we have contributed to a sense of well-being at your offices. If you would like to book corporate massages for your office, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org . Regular visits start from just $13.50 (+GST) per staff member and can be scheduled monthly or quarterly. We need a minimum booking of 2 hours and can work in the smallest of spaces with no need for messy oils or removal of clothes. If you are not able to move away from your desk, we can even do treatments at your desk.
Mental Health Awareness Week has been a great way to focus on the way we can minimize the impact of everyday life and stressful situations on our health. By starting to recognize the signs of feeling unwell, we can take steps towards putting thins into context and finding a way to deal with how we feel.
For many years I did not realize, that for me personally. going for a run was a way of making myself feel better. I just wanted to get out and run. The fact that this was also a way of managing an impending sense of doom only came to me one day, when I was going to go for a run, because it was in my training schedule, but suddenly I didn’t want to go. This was nothing to do with physical fatigue or injury. I just felt down and didn’t feel any motivation. I literally had to talk to myself, as if I was talking to another person: ‘Just put your shoes on, go out for half an hour – and then you can deal with this.’ Little did I realize, that going out for that run was in fact dealing with ‘it’ in the first place. I now acknowledge, that I run to stay well. Both physically and mentally. And while my experience with this pales into complete insignificance compared to others’ , I think a lot of runners can relate to the feeling of just getting out there and — aaaahhh ! You feel better already!
