The best time to have a massage after your run is actually – straight away. But if that is not possible, but if this is not possible and you are heading off after the event, come and see us in the next day or two. It is likely , that you will be suffering from some DOMS or delayed onset muscle soreness., but that is totally normal.
How can massage help your marathon ?
Massage can truly help your recovery by increasing blood flow and reducing some of the inflammation causing the pain, so it is a really good idea for runners to have a regular treatment, so they can get back to doing what they love (running!) without hurting themselves in the long run. A massage before running in Auckland can also be helpful in warming you up.
