What’s new winter 2022 at Auckland Therapeutic and Sports Massage

It feels like it has been an absolute age, since I have last posted any news from us ! Maybe it is, because the news have somewhat overtaken us in the last couple of years and it’s been hard enough just to keep up with the ordinary…

But instead of looking back at lockdowns, working from home and travel restrictions (enough has been said about that!), let’s celebrate what we have to look forward to !

So, we are fully open again, yay! We will be wearing masks still, but it’s a small sacrifice considering. We are keen to keep everybody as safe as possible. So we will continue to leave extra time between bookings for cleaning and air purifying, as well as alternating our room use between clients where possible. This slightly reduces our available appointments, so please book ahead if you can, so you don’t miss out.

So what’s new ?

It’s been a while since we re-introduced our team properly. So I thought just a quick rundown of the who’s who of our current team and what we do might be useful.

Simone Feist attended the Evolve college of massage in Australia to obtain a Diploma of massage. She continued her training in Germany at the Paracelsus School to learn Breuss massage and  myofascial release.  Simone can tailor a treatment to specifically target your needs from relaxation treatments to deep tissue or remedial massages. Simone also  trained in Emmett Technique, a safe and simple muscle release technique. It uses a sequence of small moves with light pressure and no oils with the aim to reactivate muscle memory. Simone also trained in McLoughlin scar release techiqu

Erin Pryme specialises in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Holistic, Pregnancy and Stretch Massage Therapy. She is currently studying to become a chiropractor in Auckland and offering selected Saturday mornings with us only.

And of course there is me. 20 years in massage this year, woohoo! I can barely believe what has started out as a curiosity has turned into a lifelong occupation, the gift that keeps on giving! My journey started in London, where I qualified as a therapist and has taken me via many countries and clients to this beautiful part of the world. So many places (ever mentioned my archery wielding colleagues in Bhutan? ), so many clients (RIP beautiful Taylor Hawkins) and so many journeys ( from Swedish massage to Sports massage to Oncology massage and many in between). My passion is people. That’s all from me.

Between us I am sure we can find a specialist to suit your interests and needs and as always we look forward to seeing you for your massage at our clinic in Auckland CBD.

Happy Massaging !
